They have excellent knowledge of conservation building crafts, and are proficient in a wide range of traditional skills, including bespoke leadwork and roofing, lime mortar repointing and plastering, timber and masonry repairs. All work is carried out with impressive attention to detail and professionalism. Overall a great company to work with.

Owning a grade 2, three hundred plus year old cottage has its complications as far as repairs are concerned. It is very difficult to find companies who are proficient in carrying out repairs to graded properties. Fortunately, we engaged the services of Heritage Property Repairs to initially repoint the front of the building as the existing cement mortar was retaining moisture and causing the stonework to blow. The cement mortar was removed and replaced with lime mortar in keeping with traditional building practices. During the above work potential problems were observed. Where one of the chimneys transits the roof, examination revealed water ingress over a long period of time had rotted some of the roof timbers. These timbers were replaced, and the roofing and chimney defects rectified. The chimney was subsequently repointed using lime mortar. Since the initial work Heritage Property Repairs have carried out further re-mortaring on parts of the rear of the property and replaced a large, very badly damaged York Stone flag in the living room. We have found HPR to be a very professional company whose employees are very skilled and competent in all aspects of the work they undertake and who work very well as a team. As a result of the high quality of HPR’s work we have requested they carry out additional repairs to the property including intricate repairs to the damaged drip course on the front of the building, replacement of a damaged cast iron down pipe and the replacement of modern plastic down pipes with traditional cast iron pipes to maintain the period aspect of the property. We can highly recommend Heritage Property Repairs if you are considering repairs or modifications to your property. Richard Bragg
